Sophie Tully BSc (Hons) MSc DipPT Pn1 AFMCP

Sophie is a clinical nutrition scientist and health coach who first trained in biomedical science, specialising in Pharmacology, before working as a laboratory research scientist developing specialised cancer therapies. After four years in the lab, and following her own health revelations, she returned to university to study a master’s degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition at UCL and gained an advanced personal training diploma. Since then Sophie has been on a mission to learn everything she can to help optimise the health of the people she works with. Addicted to learning, Sophie has gained qualifications in Functional Medicine, Nutrigenomics, nutrition for supporting cancer patients, massage, and health coaching. Sophie specialises in stress and mental health, digestive disorders, CFS, thyroid, inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, cancer support, women’s weight loss and sports performance.

Outside of her clinical hours you will find Sophie buried in research on the role of nutrition, neuroscience and genetics in chronic illness and elite sports performance, lecturing for the biomedicine and nutrition courses at the internationally renowned College of Naturopathic Medicine, giving public talks, writing articles for national health publications and as Education Manager for Igennus Healthcare Nutrition. Sophie is a keen sports person having a range of cycling, middle distance running and mud-fuelled obstacle race medals to show for it. Her current pursuits focus on functional strength and mobility training, as well as attempting to play tennis! When she has time she loves trying to recreate gourmet restaurant food, playing with her two crazy cats, going to festivals and on camping trips, country walks and occasionally weeding the veggies at her (partner’s) allotment.
